Hi - so I am no longer positive with covid (had it from 14th Oct, positive for 2 weeks, still some symptoms) One being very sore burning eyes, which seem worse last couple of days. I used drops I had bought when had hayfever this summer which not helping . Figuring maybe as for allergy and this something different. I have read a link about sore eyes and covid but thought more of a symptom at the start. Anyone had experience of sore eyes with covid, and if yes any recommended analysis. Thanks.

Hello! I had awful eyes since having covid last year.
I'm not going to lie, I'm still struggling with them.
Whilst positive I literally couldn't open them without them being super painful.
Then it developed to almost conjunctivitis type issues (still having now).
My eyes were so sore and irritated I then gave myself contact dermatitis.

I bought really oily eye drops from spec savers, they were around £10 but helped so much.

I'd been to the drs numerous times which were no help, I ended up being referred and was told basically I was almost "allergic" to my own tears now.

It would be worth asking your optician or dr to refer you to your hospital eye department for a closer look! I hope your eyes get better asap!!
