Side effects of Moderna booster jab.

Tolkienista · 23/10/2022 10:30

Had my Moderna booster jab on Friday 21st at 11am. Developed a sore arm as the day developed, which was fine. By 8pm felt decidedly shivery/shaky and unwell. Took a couple of paracetamol had an early night, but slept really badly.

By yesterday felt a little better, but extremely tired and light headed. Slept much better last night.

However I've woken this morning and once again feel light headed and dizzy with very little energy. Felt bad with my first three vaccines, but don't think it went into a third day.

Anyone else feeling similar? I've been taking paracetamol as advised and resting, but what do others feel?
Thanks.

I had no side effects to Pfizer or Moderna. DH has had AZ, Pfizer and Moderna and reacted to all three.

First moderna shot, no issues. Second absolutely floored me, I felt like I’d been poisoned - I was unwell for a week.

QuietNeighbour · 25/10/2022 07:56

Three Moderna shots gave me the very sore arm and made me feel nauseous and fatigued for about 24 hours each time. Like a hangover. I thought maybe I’d got off reasonably lightly and worried I might be hit hard with my fourth shot which was Pfizer. But nothing - barely even a sore shoulder.

I had Moderna at 2 p.m on Saturday. My arm is still sore and itchy. It feels as if the whole of the top of my arm had been stung by nettles.

AZ - rough all night with a temp/shivery but fine the next day
AZ 2 - fine
Pfizer and flu jab - fine
2nd Pfizer - fine
Moderna with flu jab- felt sick overnight, fine the next day

I might have had another Pfizer as well actually but I can't remember that one

AZ - fine
AZ - fine
Moderna - fine
Pfizer - yesterday and feel absolutely horrendous, my bones ache so much, I'm dizzy and can hardly stand up, thumping headache, sweating and shivering.

I was fine for both AZ I had except for sore arm, haven't had anything else due to being housebound & my GP practice being total arseholes about coming out to do further jabs, I haven't had my third or fourth jabs let alone the current booster & I'm ECV at that.

I had no side effect whatsoever after the Moderna booster but did get Covid not even 20 days after getting it😕and was very very sick. Maybe I am not a good responder. No reaction after jab, no immunity response? Who knows

Remaker · 26/10/2022 02:40

My 2 x AZ were fine, bit of a sore arm. After my Moderna booster I felt like I had the flu for 3-4 days after. Lots of rest and paracetamol.

It's about time people realised that some vaccinations, for anything, cause side effects in some people and other people don't react at all.

When people have a flu vaccine, or a tetanus vaccine, or hep A, yellow fever, typhoid, whatever, no one asks who the manufacturer is.
Why the fixation on Covid vax manufacturers?

@KnickerlessParsons

It's about time people stopped opening threads they have no interest in then throwing their toys out the pram when they don't like the thread.

you'd think someone who chooses to be called knickerless might not be so uptight.

Why the fixation on Covid vax manufacturers?

Obviously because they are all different technology.
