why are you still testing?

I think it can take quite a long time to test negative. It doesn’t mean you’re infectious.

hope you feel better soon. I’ve had a non Covid virus for a month and still feel like shit

Are there guidelines which say when no longer infectious.? I'm day 9 still with some symptoms and still positive

BarrelOfOtters · 22/10/2022 17:13

I tested this morning to see if negative or not. And I'm not. I imagine not infectious any more.

@Kcc73 I believe the current government guidelines are to isolate for 5 days if you're an adult, and 3 days if you're a child, as those are the periods which they believe that you will be infectious. However, this isn't black and white so use your own judgement as well. If you're still coughing your guts up after 5 days, best to stay indoors. I've had covid and I wouldn't wish it on anyone and certainly wouldn't want to spread it to others if I could help it.

@BarrelOfOtters I tested positive up to day 9 so hang in there! I thought there was no hope as most of my friends only tested positive for 5 days. It just varies from one person tot he next.
