Had Covid back in early July, had headache for one day, then bad cough for around a week or so.

Last Wednesday started a very dull headache.. ramped up by sunday & Monday was full blown migraine. Since then comes & goes, every day i think it is. bit better then the next day is worse again. its so different to my first bout of Covid... is this normal at this stage?

Feels like it won't ever go

Sounds like the dreaded covid headache to me. I'm the same.

Pearlyqueen21 · 14/10/2022 09:12

The only time I think I’ve had covid (Feb 2020 before we could test), my symptoms were exactly as you describe. Excruciating headache for about 10 days. Never had anything like it. I hope you feel better very soon.

I had Covid at the end of last year and the headache was just as you've described - absolutely crushing, then it improves a little so you think you're getting better before it comes back to bite you again. I'm sorry to say that this went on for weeks, but bear in mind that Covid is different for everyone so hopefully yours will improve sooner. My only advice is to say rest as much as you can and then rest some more. I hope you feel better soon.

Is this likely ?

Well, hopefully not. I do seem to be particularly sensitive to Covid - I've had 3 immunisations now and each time it has taken me over a week to recover (I am normally very fit and well). Apologies, I didn't mean to alarm you, just to say that I think these headaches are a normal part of the illness. On a more positive note, when I had Covid I gave it to my husband and he said it felt like a minor cold for a couple of days; it just seems to affect people differently. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

OP - i think it sounds like the Covid headache- I had 3 weeks of it in round 1, about 10 days on round 2

hope you feel better soon

PS - I really don’t think you need to worry about a brain tumour

I had headaches for a couple of weeks after Covid. Rest helped a lot

AlternativelyWired · 14/10/2022 13:53

Sinex nose spray is helping my headaches as the pain is mainly from congested sinuses. Although it's not helping much today. Steam inhalations and olbas oil of good old Vicks might help. I find rubbing it on my temples and forehead helps.

Yes. The way I describe my Covid experience is the worst hangover you've ever had, lasting for a fortnight.

Every night you go to bed expecting to feel better by morning and you don't

Fuuuuuckit · 14/10/2022 14:59

Headache was the worst of it for me, had it twice and the second time was worse. . By the time I started coughing properly I was testing negative.

fuckfuckfuck2021 · 14/10/2022 15:09

You could have had covid again! Apparently you can pick it up again 28 days later.

Suehuang99 · 14/10/2022 22:21

Interesting because everyone says first time is worse!!

Has anyone had Covid again within 3 months ?

I've had COVID three times now, and no COVID headache.

I did have a headache for seven days after my most recent COVID vaccine (Moderna) though, and was warned to expect it.

Fuuuuuckit · 15/10/2022 20:30

4 months exactly between positive tests.
