DC not feeling well today, bought test from a pharmacy and tested positive.

Thought I’d do my bit and log onto Gov site but unable due to test not being an NHS test!!

Is there a reason for this?

Cases seem to be creeping up again but are probably a lot more than we realise!

DC really not well at the moment!

Logging tests isn't a "thing" any more.

gogohmm · 04/10/2022 08:16

You haven't logged them since April

megletthesecond · 04/10/2022 08:19

Yep. This is how it works now. I had a moan about it too.
I've got some NHS tests left so I'll use them if we get a positive with a boots test.

I believe the ONS coronavirus infection study is still releasing weekly data collected in the same way it always has been so that won't be underestimating.

School are very funny if we test Dc as the guidance is to not test them at all unless advised by a dr.

Mindymomo · 04/10/2022 09:46

I don’t understand it either, how do they know the numbers if people cannot register. Where are they getting the numbers from.

Numbat2022 · 04/10/2022 09:52

Yes, this has been the case since April. Ridiculous, isn't it.

The ONS survey is still monitoring Covid in the population so authorities have an idea of how prevalent it is. Cases will of course be way higher than the official numbers. They're obviously high at the moment because I know five people who've had it in the last two weeks (all different parts of the country).

DC school say not to return for 5 days from a positive test, so at least they’re trying to keep it at bay, maybe?
