So this has me stumped, hoping someone will know whats going on!

I tested positive for covid 9 days ago.
Just retested, still a faint line... darker than it was 4 days ago!
2 days later my son tested positive.
1 day after that my teenager tested positive.

both of the kids are however negative.

anyone else had this? Whats going on? Im quite curious

  • you've still got a high viral load and they don't
  • they're getting false negatives (very common IIRC)
  • they're not doing the tests properly
  • something else, I'm not a Dr

Yup both times I had Covid neither DH nor DD got it. And when she had it I was looking after her as she was puking and I didn’t get it. Nor did DH.

My boyfriend caught it last year, shared a bed, kissed, was very close in contact and I never caught it. It happens, I presume my body just fought it off well at the time

DS had the exact same symptoms as me (plus a fever) but never tested positive, I think it's unlikely he had something else. Only thing I can think is he refuses to do a throat swab so just does the nose.

Hi, thanks for the replies! Sorry I checked just after I posted, there were no replies and I didn't think anyone would reply tbh!

I'm not sure if I explained it terribly- probably did, have been shattered- sorry!

But I got covid first, then my son tested positive, then my daughter (then my MIL and then my husband- I've really passed it about!)

And the kids got their first negative tests before I did.

Infact, so did MIL it turns out!

My husband recovered and had negative test on day 5 like the kids and MIL, I was still positive on day 9 I think it was.

Maybe its just my body struggling, everyone else is well like it never happened, but I've still got a sore throat, shattered and my asthma is still playing up.

We all had it and suffered differently

Same here, think I just have a very poor immune system which is pants considering how hard I work at being healthy 🙄

They cleared the virus fairly quickly, you’re taking longer to clear it. It’s just normal variation between people because we all have different immunity.
