I finally tested negative last week, but still feel ill. Seem to have one day & I think this is it I'm better. Tjr next week my headache is back, with cough & extreme tiredness.
How long does this last for? I want my bounce back!

Yes same here. I tested negative last weekend and had to go back to work this week. I feel worse now than I did when I was positive

I'm absolutely exhausted, everything feels too much and I've got anxiety. Doing the week at work has done me no favours and I'm considering calling in sick on Monday because I don't think I'm able to do another week feeling like this.

Bindayagain · 30/07/2022 10:17

I'm exhausted and also have this weird tooth pain. Really fed up

VerifiedBot2351 · 30/07/2022 10:23

I’m exhausted and my hands are really weak.

LizzieSiddal · 30/07/2022 10:25

You’ve had a nasty virus. It really is very normal to take several weeks to get over things such as flu, pneumonia, bronchitis and now Covid. Try not to worry and take things easy.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 30/07/2022 10:27

Yep I did. Tested negative after 12 days. 6 days later had flu (confirmed with blood test as o am pregnant)

BeenThereBoughtTheTeeShirt · 30/07/2022 10:44

Three weeks since tested positive. Just feel bone tired. Permanent state of exhaustion.

rainbowsilk · 30/07/2022 10:45

I'm nearly 2 months after Covid and still exhausted (but 19 weeks pregnant too). Slight cough still also

Babyroobs · 30/07/2022 11:58

It's crazy isn't it ! I am day 11 now and still testing strongly positive. Wondering when it is ever going to end. Seemed to be getting better but then today woke up to horrendous coughing fits again and hot sweats. Getting really fed up now. I cannot stay in one room any longer, feeling so low with it all. I have so much to do and need to get back to work, there is no one to cover my work when I am not there. I had a horrendous cough exactly like this back in early June but kept getting negative LFT's. Was finally free of the cough for a couple of weeks and then tested positive and have been ill since. hard to know whether it was also covid in early June - I hope not as twice in 2 months would be unthinkable.

Alexa1990 · 30/07/2022 15:19

Dog tired too. Body heavy and I couldn’t do a full day of not a lot let alone go to work (very physical job).

Day 16

IcanandIwill · 30/07/2022 16:03

Yes. Two weeks now. I'm testing negative but my temp is still spiking and I feel as bad as at the start. Just called 111 I feel that horrendous.

EhatBow · 30/07/2022 16:07

I've had it twice (and all my vaccinations). Both times it was 4-6 weeks after I stopped feeling "ill" before I felt well iyswim. This time I had a spelll of fainting 3-4 times a week, I was getting quite worried, but that seems to have stopped now, 6 weeks on.

gracedentssketty · 30/07/2022 16:11

Me. Been in bed since 1500 yesterday as legs feel like giving way, pain in hands, blurred vision, awful headache and feel sick.

I’ve been sick a lot this year- so fed up and feel so guilty that I can’t play with my DC

heading to docs Monday as am sure this isn’t normal

stayathomegardener · 30/07/2022 16:22

What's going on with your teeth @Bindayagain ?
My whole upper jaw and teeth have gone really neurological, it's worrying.

I'm two weeks on Monday and still exhausted.

stayathomegardener · 30/07/2022 16:23

Supplementing B12, B1, vitamin D and potassium as Covid can wipe those out apparently.

Rwealere · 30/07/2022 16:27

DH and I are struggling to recover. Thought must be our ages but maybe not(?)

They felt really uncomfortable (like my jaw was bothering me) when I had covid, and just as I've reached the tail end of covid I now have an intense toothache - I wonder if I've pressed down on or grinded my teeth somehow?

inigomontoyahwillcox · 31/07/2022 06:44

Only a week and a half out but testing negative and although the symptoms have gone I'm left with no taste or smell and am completely exhausted doing the smallest thing (popping to the shops for example).

Signoramarella · 31/07/2022 06:56

Took me 6 months, not to worry you. Honestly it was a long term illness for me, 6 weeks off work. Have all the vaccines, fit and healthy. In hospital 4 times. You need to rest.. I know it's hard .. up your vitamins and eat drink super healthy. I took propraxiline for exhaustion, vertigo . Aspirin for blood clots. Good luck

Karmatime · 31/07/2022 20:33

I tested negative after 11 days and still had fatigue, muscle aches and weird skin and teeth sensitivity for about a week after that. However it’s now 4 weeks since I caught it and I now feel pretty much normal. I do think I analysed it all much more than pre-Covid, I’ve had flu before and I know it took me weeks to get my energy levels back.

Bindayagain · 31/07/2022 20:46

I'm so happy to hear you're feeling normal again, especially in the teeth department as I'm sitting crying at the moment over how sore my teeth are just now!

QuiltedHippo · 31/07/2022 20:51

Felt fine during covid, had worse colds, then had one bad night's sleep and I've felt awful for days even though I'm negetive now. Horrific cough, aches, sore mouth is back, headache, tired. Urgh. Sympathies to you all!

Magic1231 · 31/07/2022 22:26

Yep! I'm the same, the fluey feeling has basically gone but bone tired, and not thinking alertly at all, very sluggish brained and it's frustrating. Hang in there! Sympathies to all of you in the same boat xxx

DeborahVance · 01/08/2022 17:45

I've been clear of Covid for a week now. I felt fine but have had some sort of wierd relapse, my legs ache and I feel wierdly light headed. I honestly feel worse than I did when I had it
