For those with covid symptoms but not testing pos+ ...

........I have posted before as started with sore throat/headache/other aches/fatigue last Wednesday. Symptoms have persisted - though not worsened and no new ones - though the fatigue has been something else.

BUT today is my 5th neg Lft test in a row and so I have to conclude this not covid. Just wish I could feel better. I do have tendency to sore throats but not with such accompanying fatigue. But guess other virus this summer still out there despite such high covid numbers.

Family have been ok (I am only one awake so hope they wake ok!)

I have theatre trip this afternoon and will go even though still sore throat and tired. If I was working I am sure I would have to go in . But I was thinking wearing mask? Would you?

Any other similar stories.?

Wish I could have got PCR to confirm either way but guess this is living with covid - though don't think it's really 'living' is it when worry going to contaminate others!

I an having a similar experience. Very dry irritating cough (v similar to when I had delta last September), sore throat and fatigue. Legs ache and I feel hot but no temperature.

I have tested negative since symptoms started (day 4 now).

I guess we have to conclude that it's not covid?! I was surprised to test negative tbh!

pp - I know it's strange. I want to believe it's not covid but I am just not hearing at the mo folk who had these symptoms and not tested pos covid - even if take a few days. My sore throat started Tuesday into Wed , and tested neg Wed-today. My throat actually feeling a bit worse today but definitely not tonsillitis/ bacterial as not on tonsils. Feels like it moving down to chest a bit like a burning. No cough or cold though.

My dh and teens aren't worried about me having symptoms, though I have avoided too closer contact - it's more me worrying about them getting ill and ending up being more sick than me . I do suffer with health anxiety a bit but that's as a lot to worry about day to day with other stuff.

I hope you feel better soon. I wish I could be assured one way or another!

I started with a cough on Thurs 14/7 that felt as though my lungs were being flipped inside out. Felt washed out and a snotty sneezy nose. I get free tests because of my job and they have all been neg. 10 days on I still feel fatigued, having to have a nap after work. Probably because I cough continuously, it's exhausting.

I went to the pharmacy and was given a cough suppressant that can make you drowsy so can only take it at bed time. The pharmacist said they had so many people in with the same symptoms and they were low on stocks, hence why I could only get the drowsy cough bottle. She said there is a viral infection going round and the cough takes ages to shake off.

Started with sore throat but negative for 2 days than positive. Had COVID in the home so only to be expected. Hope you feel better soon.

I did 4 tests over 5 days before I got a positive result this time. Last time I had covid it took a whole week of worsening symptoms before I tested positive.

Mine turned positive on Day 5

I tested negative the whole time I had symptoms. Despite my son and partner being positive. Apart from the exhaustion and change in taste my symptoms were beyond mild (as in it somehow suppressed my hayfever for a couple of days which was heaven), so I just assumed my body had fought it off to the point I had some symptoms but wasn't shedding.
