My family of 4 just recovered and none of us had runny nose or cough until a few days in and they weren't really prominent symptoms. Kids had fevers, lethargy, vomiting and diarrhoea. Adults had mild fevers, sore throats, aches, tiredness.

pinklavenders · 21/07/2022 13:54

I had covid a couple of weeks ago. I did not have a cough at all, or a runny nose.

Symptoms were sore throat, headache and tiredness.

TheRealYellowWiggle · 21/07/2022 14:13

Dh and I both have covid just now. I had a bad keep-you-up-all-night cough and he has had no cough at all. Had sore throats, sore eyes and exhaustion.

AhaLyn · 21/07/2022 18:07

I didn’t have cold symptoms such as runny nose, cough was a weird one, I felt more breathless than needing to cough and burnt lung feeling. My symptoms were - headache, sore eyes, lots of neuropathy type symptoms such as stabbing pains and buzzing feeling in body, aching body, severe fatigue, feeling sick, diarrhoea, scratchy dry throat, upper back pain. Lost all smell and taste for 4 days. In no order either, just a rotating clock every day of the above.

honkeytonkwoman38 · 21/07/2022 18:13

I had an achy nose and that was it. My husband was really I'll with it.

MrsTomHardy13 · 21/07/2022 19:22

My cough started on about day 9. Before that, just mainly fatigue.

Pinkflipflop85 · 21/07/2022 19:24

Had it last week.
Sore throat, headache and absolutely exhausted.
Very different to when I had Omicron back in December.

Cantbeliveyoufakeit · 21/07/2022 19:32

Yes, DD had a sore throat as a first symptom and both DH and I had a bit of a cough towards the end but other than that no cold symptoms at all. As PP's we mostly had headache, fatigue, muscle aches particularly in the legs and a few episodes of vomiting and/or diarrhoea. I have been left with a vaguely snotty feeling in the back of my throat which sometimes makes me cough but DH and I are both ex smokers and were worried about having bad coughs/respiratory symptoms so I feel like we got off fairly lightly. Did feel generally dreadful for a few days though, not pleasant.

Desolate2nite · 21/07/2022 19:33

I've had it for a week now, awful sore throat and headache. No cold symptoms or cough

Marymary987 · 21/07/2022 19:40

I had it last week, started with a mild sore throat which only lasted a day. I also had a couple of headaches, a blocked nose for 2 days and a very mild cough. Was back to normal within 4 days.
Dh had a headache for a day and that’s it.

WanderingFruitWonderer · 21/07/2022 22:53

I've just recovered from a relatively mild, relatively short bout of Covid. Yep, no cold or respiratory symptoms at all. Just tired and dizzy, chills on first day, a headache for two days, and then on/off nausea and lack of appetite.. The nausea was the longest-lasting symptom. Only really clearing yesterday on day 9 or 10 (can't quite remember!) The other symptoms cleared very early on. I kept waiting for cold and cough, but they never came!

RadioRouge · 21/07/2022 22:58

My friend lost her voice and her sense of taste and smell but didn't really have any cough.

RadioRouge · 21/07/2022 22:59

(Last week and still ongoing)

Edinlassy · 21/07/2022 23:04

Tested positive yesterday no cough. Extremely tired, sore head and throat and extremely itchy skin. Can still taste/smell

sweetkitty · 21/07/2022 23:18

Six of us got covid in Spain, one DC had a constant runny nose, two felt terrible feverish, one had no symptoms at all, I felt terrible aches and pains, fever/shivers then came the terrible fatigue/no appetite and just feeling awful. DH got a cold/cough. It affected us all different

Threeboysandadog · 21/07/2022 23:29

I’m on day 15! I’ve still got an awful cough although I think it’s beginning to ease. All 5 of us have had it and I’m the only one that had a cough. We all had very different symptoms.

LovinglifeAF · 21/07/2022 23:36

I had a runny nose, but not really a cough. Only occasionally had the odd cough when my throat was sore if I was talking

thank goodness as my pelvic floor couldn’t cope with a lot of coughing

Kcc73 · 23/07/2022 20:21

Hope all feeling better soon.

Still sore throat but less so. Still no cold or cough but the fatigue is really bad. I don't have best energy levels at the best of times (not been pin pointed why by gp) but this is horrid. Worn out just going downstairs. Have thought about sitting out side but don't have energy put chair out!

Tested +ve on Thursday morning. Had awful night sweats the previous 2 nights which I put down to heat and menopause as tested -ve. Whole body ached all day Thursday and exhausted, aches gone yesterday and felt much better, today have cough, heavy cold symptoms and sore throat. Sigh.

InRoseBlush · 24/07/2022 03:37

I tested positive yesterday. No cough/ runny nose but had a terrible fever last night/early this morning (temp is still a bit high but not shivering/feeling out of it anymore). Also have had a banging headache that returns whenever paracetamol wears off, bit of a sore throat, itchy ears and on and off burning in sinuses. Still plenty of time for a cough to appear though I suppose.
