My friend works for the NHS and has to stay off for 7 days at least. However legally she can mix outside of work after 3.days even if positive is that right? 🤨

Doesn’t sound right, most hospitals you have to be negative on lft before going back. But to answer your question, yes you can go out and about how but it’s nice not to spread it if possible.

Just to be clear, legally she can mix outside of work at any point, there is no legal requirement to isolate for any time at all. Whether she should is another matter.

Advice is 5 days for adults and 3 days for children isolation after positive result.

Legally you don’t have to isolate at all I believe.

People I know are self isolating (pretty fully - might go out for daily well-distanced exercise once on the mend) for 5 days or until they test negative, whichever is later.

If you can't WFH, then you'll have to fall in with employer's policy once you're well enough not to be off sick any more (normal temperature, manageable symptoms), but the sensible thing is still to keep away from people other than when its strictly necessary and to wear a mask (to keep your exhalations to yourself as far as possible)
