Hi, I'm.currently suffering a lot with covid, 9 days in and I feel no better. It's really took a toll on my mental health now, I'm constantly breaking down crying. I wondered if anyone else is suffering in a similar way? So sorry if you are, I just wondered xxx

Hi OP, I'm sorry to hear you are feeling like this. Just wanted to reach out and hand-hold - I had exactly the same thing when I had covid. I initially wondered if I was just fed up of feeling so rotten, and not leaving the house for a fortnight. However, I've been a bit mopey ever since (and I'm usually quite bubbly and outgoing) so I saw my GP who has sent me for bloods as apparently Vit D and B12 deficiencies can cause feelings of low mood.
I have found it helps to go for short walks and fresh air throughout the day, I also give myself an hour or two in the evenings to indulge in my favourite TV shows.
It is crap and I'm sorry you are unwell. Hope you feel better soon xx

Thankyou ❤ really appreciate you responding to me.
I suffer from mental health and it plays up at times, this has really brought it to the surface, finding it so hard to cope, what with being poorly i cant do anything. Like many I was lead to believe covid was just like a cold... never thought it would effect me this badly. I'm glad you recovered 💐 xxx

Hi OP,
I tested positive Friday. I absolutely panicked. I was so scared that I'd be on a ventilator. Even feel as if I'm tempting fate by now assuming I won't be.
It can be like a cold but in my experience it is not.
I feel so down about it.
Angry too. It's not like the flu because the flu is predictable.
I feel like killing the selfish fcker who wad positive at my husband's workplace without even wearing a mask because he* felt OK.
Oh I understand that people need to work but he didn't even contact HR beforehand because if he had they would have put him to work in an isolated area.
My dh passed it to me. No doubt.
The only thing I'll say is that one way or another it will resolve itself. The virus cannot live forever in the body.
Drink water and up your vit D intake.

It's the unpredictability isn't it.

And don't get me started on those who are bored of having it. Tw*.

Sorry about the typos: I hope you know that I mean that one of my husband's work colleagues turned up mask less at the workplace.

Magic1231 · 18/07/2022 11:30

Yeah I understand what you meant @Milly2016 sorry you're suffering like me. It's really terrible isnt it! I'm not surprised you're angry! It's those selfish people that are spreading it so much, the mentality is 'it's just a cold' NO IT IS NOT. Even with a two week bad cold atleast you know the way it more aless plays out, and you do know when you're getting better. This isnt like that at all xxx

Yes. I've no idea how this is going to play out.
Felt muscle pains from last Sunday. Assumed pulled a muscle. Diarrhoea on Wednesday, didn't think anything of it.
But Friday when I was chilled to the bone I knew something was wrong.

It will pass so try to relax.

Purely anecdotal but I've been taking vid D since the pandemic began and avoided covid. I ran out and not had it for about a week or so.

Now I get it.

Keep up the drinking of water and vitamins.

All the best to you. xx

I don't mind it when people fail to join the dots because let's face it anything could be a symptom but knowingly spreading it is something else. Grr.

FrownedUpon · 18/07/2022 13:01

I’ve felt like that for almost 4 months now. Had covid in April & been affected hugely. Anxiety is off the scale.

Magic1231 · 18/07/2022 13:14

@Milly2016 bless you, thankyou for the well wishes and encouragement, same goes for you. I think so many of us just started taking for granted we weren't catching it and frustratingly all you hear was 'it's just a cold' 'I only had a funny nose' ect. I wish I'd have been as vigilant as I was at the beginning of the pandemic,to be fair I'm still good now in the sense I dont touch my face when out, always hand washing and I cant say I have a crazy active social life, but there we go. I think I caught it off my friend tbh, though he seemed to think his was food poisoning.
I've just took a test and its come back negative... I know they arent reliable, so will do one again tomorrow but it's like why do I still feel so poorly then? Headache wont give me a break!xxx

Oh bless your heart @FrownedUpon I can completely relate, so sorry you're feeling like that. Have you spoke to the doctors? I know they arent always a great help xxx

"It's really terrible isnt it! I'm not surprised you're angry! It's those selfish people that are spreading it so much, the mentality is 'it's just a cold' NO IT IS NOT"

I felt like this back in October 20 when we were back into schools like sardines and parents kept sending kids in with blatant covid symptoms, refused to test as it was "child abuse".

Even worse it was prevaccine do you were left to wonder if you'd be one of the unlucky few, whilst being gaslit that kids didn't spread it, outbreaks were down to parents congregating outside by the gates or staff breaking the totally inadequate 'guidance" whilst colleagues went down with it like dominos...
