Hi I tested positive for covid 9 days ago, I felt tired had a sinus headache and muscle pain and was then over it in 4 days or so I thought. Day 7, after feeling completely fine I went to bed with a sinus headache woke up shivering, high temp, feeling hot and cold, diarreah, vomiting, suddenly out of nowhere chesty rattling cough with bloody mucus and upper back pain, felt very weak…it was like all the symptoms hit at once!
I called 111 the next morning and they sent paramedics to check me over and diagnosed me with a pleuritic rub which explains the back pain and a chest infection. I’m now on antibiotics and my back pain has thankfully gone but I’m getting slightly paranoid as I’m now experiencing feeling out of breath if I walk up and down the stairs or standing for too long. My oxygen levels thankfully have been fine but I’m still testing positive and it’s now day 10 and my temp is still 37.8- 38.1. It’s not dropped.
what’s really odd is other than that one night I was barely coughing and now I’ve been diagnosed with a chest infection. I do feel very phlegmy still but not feeling like I need to cough.
Has anyone experienced anything similar and can offer any advice?
