I had Covid less than 3 weeks ago. Could I have it again?

I tested positive on 22 June after first developing a sore throat on 20 June. I didn't test when it was over, as it seemed pointless when I'm required back at work as soon as I feel well, regardless of test results. I was quite ill for a week or so, but have since felt well and have been back at work for a week.

Anyway, I've woken with a sore throat this morning....and a positive test, but I don't know if I was ever clear iyswim.

You poor thing!

At a guess (and this is a guess) I would say this is a continuation of your initial infection and not a new one. Maybe you never actually tested negative?

The first time I had covid it took over 2 weeks to test negative so it is feasible that in some folks it could take even longer. I'm sure there are plenty out there who could give an informed explanation but my thinking is that you never really threw it off the first time and for whatever reasons you have symptoms again.

Hope you feel better soon OP Flowers

That's horrible for you.

I had the alpha variant in March 20, and had this same experience. If it's less than three months, it's still the original infection. Your body just has yet to completely overcome it Eat sensibly and be careful not to overdo it. That was the advice I received.

Same infection, probably because you didn't rest enough.
