Currently got covid. Seem to be over the worst of it just a bit of cold symptoms now. I tested positive start of the week and I am due to go on a very long awaited day out with friends on Saturday and holding out hope I will be negative by then, although had another very much positive test this morning. How many days after testing positive did you get a negative?

well there is no actual law now, so nobody can really stop you going out anyway.

but guidelines are to isolate for 5 days, starting counting the day after your positive test. So if you want to follow those, you should stay in until Monday (ie first day out is Monday).

but officially you don't have to.

I had it recently, so presumably the current variant. I tested negative at the end of day 5.

Thank you @BotCrossHuns 😊

Day five today, still showing positive. Back to work tomorrow, which feels wrong if I'm still showing positive, but those are the rules apparently. Will be wearing a mask.

Tested + on Monday. Symptoms started on Monday. Tested again just then and have a very very faint line that I had to squint to see. So hoping tomorrow I'm all clear from it. Wish the cough would piss off though!

Yes to the cough, it's a bloody nightmare

I tested negative from day 10

I’ve had hardly any symptoms- no temperature or cough just slight nausea for a day. Got a positive on Monday but planning on going (masked) to a big outdoor family occasion tomorrow. I have let them know and will keep my distance but feel fine in myself so see no need to isolate any more

Still positive day 11! Woke up less tired and feel much better this morning too.
