I tested positive yesterday as I was feeling unwell and many people around me have been testing positive.
I had it pretty badly around the new year, it did last for some time and I had my booster late January. I can’t believe I’m ill again, I would have thought I would have enough antibodies and get it very mildly worst case but I’m feeling very poorly, even worse than when I had it the first time.

A lot of people are experiencing the same sadly!

WhackingPhoenix · 04/07/2022 17:33

I’m on my third stint! First was October 2020, second was February 2022 and tested positive again today. Bit fed up with it now 😂

maeveiscurious · 04/07/2022 17:33

I heard the Christmas one was milder and this one is a mean variant

CockapooMum · 04/07/2022 17:40

I had it on 19th January and tested positive again on 29th June so just over 5 months apart. It's ripped thru the whole family this time but thankfully we've all been fairly mild including my parents who were both extremely vulnerable so very thankful for that. I tested negative today but still feel wiped out!

OddBoots · 04/07/2022 17:45

Me too, and it's my 3rd time in total!

I have had all my vaccinations and I think I go out less than average but I guess that's the way distribution works.

OliveTreees · 04/07/2022 18:38

Thanks all. Sorry to read that you’re in the same boat (or worse if it’s your third time!) but it’s reassuring, I thought there was something wrong with me.
I hope today was the worst… I really need to have recovered by Thursday, if anyone has any tips, vitamins or supplements they recommend to accelerate the recovery, please do share!
Already planning to sleep in a different, much colder room tonight to get some sleep. Barely slept in the last two nights because of the heat and the sore throat, which is not helping to feel better.

I've had it 3 times since late January, six times in all.

Icequeen01 · 04/07/2022 23:14

DH has just tested positive for third time and no doubt I will follow in a couple of days. Just heard my DSis has tested positive for the second time. Her first time was just over 3 months ago.

Opihr · 04/07/2022 23:53

Yes, I had it at Easter and again last week.

Get well soonFlowers

Moonchild18 · 05/07/2022 00:05

Me and my eldest have had it twice, roughly 12 weeks apart. We had it at the end of October 21, just us 2 though everyone else in the house managed to avoid it, then in January my 2 youngest caught it from school and then the rest of us caught it, including me and my son again. First time I was double jabbed, felt awful and spent 3 full days in bed, 2nd time I was triple jabbed and just had an awful sore throat and a headache.

PinkButtercups · 05/07/2022 07:42

Yep! Had in late December/early January and got it again now!

Sniffypete · 05/07/2022 07:48

Had it October last year and again end of January/beginning of February.

caringcarer · 05/07/2022 07:50

My sister has it for third time. I've never had it.

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 05/07/2022 07:51

Yep, had it this time last year then again new year

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 05/07/2022 08:07

My DC2 had it twice in four and a half months, confirmed by PCR both times. I worried work thought I was making it up (my job wouldn't allow someone with a casebin the house into work).

Buzzinwithbez · 05/07/2022 11:09

I had it over Christmas and then very recently.
This time it was no different to a mild cold. No loss of smell this time, no sinusitis, no struggling for a few days after when trying to exercise. All much to my relief.

coastergirl · 05/07/2022 11:38

I first had it December 2020, very mildly. Then again Christmas 2021 and it completely floored me. Now I've got it again and feel horrendous. Totally fed up!

snowflake29 · 05/07/2022 11:41

Yep, I had it in March and have just tested positive again! Very mild symptoms last time and so far just seems like hayfever/a head cold.

WarriorN · 05/07/2022 14:13

Yes, late Jan and now. It was really bad last time and took over 3 months to feel better.

I think I'd just started to get back on track when I caught this one.

I don't think it's quite as bad though I'm still floored. I have phases of feeling normal and it's only day 3 or 2 (not sure how they count!) I'm on double the hrt patches too which I'm hoping helps.

Webbedlife · 07/07/2022 12:11

I know someone who had it in Jan/Feb, had cold symptoms last weekend (while we were all away in an Airbnb together) and now has tested positive. I haven't had covid since spring 2020 when it turned into long covid, no idea yet whether I've caught it but do have scratchy throat.

roundandrounditgoes1234 · 07/07/2022 14:35

yep me - mid march and again this week - mid march only discovered it on random test and didnt feel too bad
this time banging head, snotty, tight chest feeling rubbish
managed to escape it for so long then it seems this variant likes me !

SushiGo · 07/07/2022 14:38

3rd time since December for me.

Kids still aren't vaccinated because they haven't managed to go 12 weeks without catching it again.

misskatamari · 08/07/2022 10:10

Yep, I had it mid January and just tested positive again today. Really hoping it's mild this time, I felt shit for weeks last time
