Do you think I’m any risk to anyone?

Hi, I’ve had covid pretty badly and still feel ill. I’m on day 16 and still testing positive on a lateral flow. Do you think there’s any risk I’m contagious? Thanks

I've read that people are most infectious in the two days before symptoms start and for another 2-3 days thereafter.

So you should be fine to go out.

I was similar back in March and the guidance at the time was you were ok to go out after 10 days regardless of test result. The only thing I didn't do until I got my negative was visit someone in hospital.

After 10 days you can go out regardless, but if you're concerned then avoid crowds, wear a face covering and be scrupulous with hand washing and hygiene.

But if you're feeling ill, stay in bed and rest! Pay attention to your body, not the calendar, you're the important bit :)

I just asked a doctor friend this same question. Answer was that if still testing positive after Day 10 to revert to previous guidance: ie you’re fine to resume normal activity. The caveat being that it’s probably wise to wear a mask when in close proximity with others & in poorly ventilated space.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
so consensus is I’m fine to go out but stay away from anyone vulnerable? And wear a mask etc?
You’re also right that I should probably stay in bed and rest too!
