Possible to have covid without a cold/throat/cough

Just that really, I have all the symptoms of covid except I don't have a cold or cough or sore throat. My daughter's nanny had covid and I can't see how she wouldn't have passed it onto her given the contact. DD is under the weather but again no respiratory symptoms.

Anyone had this?

Well given that you can have Covid with no symptoms, then yes it is perfectly possible. The list of official Covid symptoms is now quite long and includes all sorts of general "unwell" symptoms.

I didn’t have a cough but I did have a runny nose and sore throat

thank god as my pelvic floor isn’t what it used to be!

Bridgeth29 · 26/06/2022 13:38

I'm on day 10. I had a slight sore throat but my main symptoms were muscle and joint aches, nausea and fatigue.

MissMaple82 · 26/06/2022 13:44

My covid was all gastro and absolutely nothing ear/nose/throat related, so yes!

But did you still test positive? I tested a few days ago and negative and I only have one test left... I feel like how will it pick up the virus when I have no symptoms in that area ?

It doesn’t matter though, just do the isolation and then it doesn’t matter whether you still test positive or not

Yes, my lateral flow tests lines were darker than the control line for several days!

rosesarepinkvioletsarepurple · 26/06/2022 16:33

Yeah but I'm not going to randomly isolate if I don't have covid and haven't had a positive test...

Ok good to know, I just did another lat flow and it's still negative. Maybe I just have something else and DD didn't catch it??

Covid started as vomiting and chills for me. I’ve got a cough now but that’s just clearing the crap lodged in my chest.

DizzyWhoreI8O4 · 27/06/2022 14:29

Definitely. I've had it six times now and three of them didn't have those symptoms.

Remmy123 · 28/06/2022 13:46

Who don't you just test?
