For recent first time coviders, what day did you test negative?

Just that really.

I'm on day 9 since symptoms started, and day 7 since I tested positive.

What day did you test negative? I still have a positive as of this morning.

Did your positive disappear quickly or was it a slow fade.

I've run out of tests now to test any further.

Just got a negative test on day 10 and for me (cus I am a geek) I tested every day, and the line got fainter over time

hope you feel better soon

LovinglifeAF · 25/06/2022 12:35

Day 6

you don’t need to keep testing. You’ve done the recommended isolation period. Even when isolation was the mandatory 10 days you didn’t need to test negative.

Pambo81 · 25/06/2022 12:40

It was day 12 for me before I got a negative

bilbodog · 25/06/2022 12:41

Day 13 for me

Sidge · 25/06/2022 12:43

Day 15 for me.

Namechangedforspooky · 25/06/2022 12:44

Day 7 but felt shite for about 3 weeks. DH had virtually no symptoms but never got a negative (stopped testing on day 11)
DD was negative day 5. Again hardly any symptoms . It’s very variable

trailrunner85 · 25/06/2022 12:46

Day 10 for me. The line started fading from about day 7..

AppleRottonCore · 25/06/2022 15:52

I'm not isolating anymore as of today because I feel fine. I am going out in a mask though and only going out if I need to. I'm just curious how infectous I am. I was expecting the line to be nearly gone by now.

My line still solid, but it doesn't come up dark instantly (like I was getting 7 days ago - instant very dark line) It comes up slightly when I test and slowly goes to a strong line over the course of 2 minutes. I guess that's some sort of sign my infectiousness is going down.

I didn't bother testing again after testing positive, just did 5 days of staying at home as recommended.
Couldn't see the point in wasting tests that I may need in the future.

Oopsiedaisyy · 25/06/2022 19:36

Day 4 and faint line now

Rupertgrintismyguiltypleasure · 25/06/2022 23:01

One of the couples i work with . The guy had symptoms from last weds, tested positive on the Friday, negative on weds and his gf had symptoms from the Friday, tested positive on Sunday and negative by weds. She’s triple jabbed he’s only double.

oopsfellover · 25/06/2022 23:28

I’m on day 10 and, after a strong line every day, finally have a very faint one, so hopefully it’s more or less gone although throat is still sore. Feels like it’s been forever!

Blackalice · 26/06/2022 12:23

Got my first negative today - day 6 from test, day 7 from symptoms

mejon · 26/06/2022 23:01

DH just coming to the end of his first bout. Had a negative result on Friday - day 9, but yesterday and today he's had feint positive lines. He's over 10 days now so will be back in work tomorrow. DD11 and I had it for the first time at Easter and she was negative on day 7 or 8 and I took until day 10 to get one.

TabithaTittlemouse · 26/06/2022 23:07

Tested positive on day 3 of feeling unwell. Tested again 5 days later and was still positive. Had to test daily after that for work and didn’t get a negative until ten days after the positive test. Still not feeling 100% 3 weeks later but returned to work on day 12 (needed 2 negatives).
Dh tested positive before he felt unwell (tests daily for work) and had a negative 4 days later. Again, he still isn’t right.

potatoes4all · 26/06/2022 23:16

It was 14 days before I got a negative test, mine went from very strongly positive to negative overnight. I felt dreadful for 10 days of this, couldn't get off the sofa for a week.

Youcunnyfunt · 26/06/2022 23:28

Mine faded very quickly over day 6 and 7. Day 7 was extremely faint and took nearly 10 minutes to show. The positives showed immediately, and nearly black on days 1-5. Day 8 I was negative. I tested everyday because I wanted to be able to see my boyfriend and family.

I have had 2 bouts in 3 months.

1st bout... symptoms really bad... coughing so much my stomach hurt... 11 days to negative, strong positive til day 9, then faded.

Currently.. Really strong positive day 1, fading day 3, symptoms much fewer this time. Hope to be negative tomorrow or Friday.

Adviceneeded200 · 21/12/2022 14:20

Me and my husband clear negative on day 5 (if treat positive test as day zero).

We still had feint positive lines on day 4.

Desiredeffect · 22/12/2022 05:49

Tested positive on Saturday but had slight symptoms last week and feel not good at all

WeDontNeedToTalkAboutJamie · 22/12/2022 06:17

letsgetbackto2019 · 22/12/2022 06:19

6 for me, 10 for DH

KatherineJaneway · 22/12/2022 07:01

I tested negative on the 11th day after I tested positive.
