Covid and migraine induced vertigo

DD has Covid. She used to suffer quite badly from migraine induced vertigo and nausea, then was fine for nearly a year, and now it has come back quite severely. It's been nearly a week but the vertigo is persisting. She is taking her migraine meds but is feeling very stressed as she is doing a much sought after work placement and has had to take time off.

Anyone else found their migraine was aggravated by Covid and lasted a while?.

Not quite your question but I have long covid and vertigo was a symptom for about 8-10 weeks along with a number of awful headaches that may well have been migraines. My GP treated the symptoms of vertigo with serc 16 (an antihistamine) which helped and it did clear up eventually. As with many Covid side effects you need to allow weeks not days unfortunately.

My DP has had vertigo post covid for over 13 weeks now. It’s really grim & no sign of going.

Oh lord! I hope this won't be the case. Sorry for you both.

She has been vaxxed, ofc.

I'm glad I found this. I've never had migraines but am suddenly getting headaches and nausea pretty much very day as well as vertigo. I hope it won't last weeks but am somehow reassured its not just me!
