Has anyone else had the NHS email advising me to vaccinate my child against Covid as 'records show they may have a health condition that puts them at risk' this is news to me !!

I've already had emails galore from our medical group telling me I can now book her in for a vaccine but I don't want to !!

Do they have ASS? My son was offered the vaccination early because of that.

ASD, sorry!

lollipoprainbow · 22/06/2022 17:39

@TheCatIsBack yes she does but why would that make a difference ?!

ASD is a risk factor for more serious illness so that’s probably what they mean. This photo is front the govt green book (Covid guidance) and ASD is listed as a risk.

Thanks Christ 'chronic neurological disease' never heard it called that before.

A lower ability to be able to recognise or express the severity of their symptoms, apparently.

They can 'advise you' but you don't have to do it, I wouldn't either personally. Just ignore the email.

Several of my childrens friends got these letters who have ASD. Yet DS2 with asthma didn't.

Apparently there is a link with more severe symptoms.

Ds2 was unfortunately hospitalised with covid, I wish he'd been in the under 12 group that had a letter at the time.
