I’m waiting for my antivirals hope to have them by today. Any side effects? I have autoimmune conditions and feel awful with COVID. How long do they take to lessen symptoms?

I had covid back in April and was given Paxlovid. Other than a weird taste in my mouth and some mild nausea they were fine and my LFT’s were negative within 5 days. They kicked in really quickly- I felt a lot better within about 48 hours.

I’ve got covid again now and starting another course of antivirals

hope you feel better soon

My mother is in her mid-70s and CEV. She was bed-bound for two days with Covid and only started to improve (& didn't get worse), when she got on to Paxlovid which was couriered over from the local hospital. She's now testing negative.

I think I read somewhere of plans that CEV people will in future be able to have antivirals in the cupboard in case they are ever needed, even before they have Covid. I wonder is that something that's going to become a reality?

I was on the PANORAMIC trial. No side effects at all & very mild Covid.
DH had Paxlovid (CEV). Same - no side effects, v mild Covid
