Did anyone experience a strange 'water up your nose feeling' as first symptom?

Back in January when i had covid I experienced this symptom. A strange sensation, the feeling when u get swimming pool water up your nose! Anyway, this morning I have the same feeling, negative test at the moment. Just wondering if it's a coincidence or whether anyone else has had this with covid?

Is it possibly snot? Because the pollen level has been high and everyone is sneezing and blowing their noses.

Yes I had this! Sharp feeling when trying to sniff.

Yep. I'm on day 9 and had this, was quite intense - felt like I'd been swimming!

BeenToldComputerSaysNo · 05/06/2022 15:25

I had this. Parts of some days it randomly disappeared and would then start suddenly again for hours.

I had this feeling with it both times I had it.It's a horrible feeling.

Yes, sort of burning feeling on inside of nose high up, then really watery snot that went as quickly as it came - not like normal colds where it gets thicker and thicker and hangs around for weeks afterwards. Also, my nose would tingle on the side facing down if I rolled over in bed at night and produce more of the runny mucous. It didn’t have any effect on my sense of smell or taste, though.

And yes to it randomly coming and going.

SeaDogs · 07/06/2022 22:18

Yes this is exactly what I had, a sharp, painful feeling high up.

Yes, I did! I had Covid over Christmas and apart from the headache, it was this weird blocked nose that really got to me. It left me with postnasal drip until about March. Finally, it subsided and then... along came hay fever. Yay! Everyone wins!
I found Olbas bath foam (or Badedas even) really, really helpful when I had Covid. It just really eased my nose/sinuses/head.

Yes! Literally, like saltwater running out the nose. This stayed with me for ages after I had Covid. My nose was just permanently running saltwater. No consistency. Really, really annoying and weird.

Yes I had this at first, then on the day I tested positive it turned into extreme itchiness, very like hayfever.
