Is there anything that can be done?

Had covid twice

Christmas - lost smell/ taste totally. It came back and all was normal
2 months later - got it again. Didn't appear to lose smell and taste senses at the time. However since then many things taste weird or have little taste. It's horrible and impacting my diet as things like raw veg taste revolting (is typically eat a lot before this). It's not getting better.

Any had this and fixed it ?

I'm afraid it takes time. There are smell kits which can help reawaken smell which is a large part of taste

I feel for you. Similar happened to me, 6 months since complete loss of smell and taste, it's now 90% there. At 3 months most things were still weird.

I read some research in the science journal Nature that found most people were back to normal around a year after. So odds are yours will get there but it could still be some time.

October for me and I can still only taste salty and sweet but everything has a horrid taste.. I can only smell a couple of things too.

Still weird 16 months on 😬. Fruit and veg are amongst the worst offenders, along with full fat dairy and beauty products.

I had this. It was so awful. I beware able to start with. Slowly got back to normal and almost normal at 12 months later

Yes! - fruit and veg are awful. Worst are peppers

Thanks will look into the smell kits. Suspect I won't be able to smell them though

I had covid in summer 2020 and never lost sense of smell. By the autumn I was unable to eat any meat /seafood as it all tasted rotten. By Christmas I couldn’t eat dairy or eggs either so I went vegan completely for all of 2021.

in the past six months I have reintroduced cheese and butter, but stuck with oat milk. I eat prawns and pork now but everything else still taste rotten. I don’t think I’ll ever eat chicken again to be honest.

I had it in September and my taste and smell was really really weird for at least 4/5 months.

It’s called Parosmia. There’s a Facebook group with about 50,000 people in all experiencing the same symptoms.

Ive had it since January. It started 3 months post covid. This is most common. Everything still tastes gross 6 months later 🤦🏼‍♀️ It’s miserable but I’m just trucking on & hoping it improves.
