Ds has a slight cough, mainly in the morning and evening after having very mild cold symptoms a few days ago. He is totally fine and not poorly in the slightest. He's had covid, I know this possibly be could be covid but he is autistic and testing him is hell, it could just be an average cold. I had a cold last week.

he had covid not too long ago too (I know you can get it again). He did not have a cough with covid. He's had so many coughs since covid and not once has it been covid, he got covid with no cough...

I know we are at a point where isolation and testing is not really a thing but if your child has an ever since slight cough or other symptoms are you still bothering with testing??

half term anyway so not like I'm sending him school with a cough. It's mainly morning and evening coughing, not during the day.

We still test weekly at work. It would be pretty disastrous if it was spread through our small team.

I tested because I had some LFTs left over but probably would have bought some.

I wanted to know for myself - it's nice to have peace of mind that I should have some level of immunity for a while & going into Autumn.

I was also pretty sick with it - needed a week off work - and I feel my team were a lot more sympathetic than if I'd said I had a cold. I'm 28 and no underlying conditions - even with vaccines and for the low risk "mild" can still be pretty rubbish.

Still have a cough, easily fatigued, dizzy and no appetite, three weeks on.

I have to test for work but also test if in contact with someone who tests positive or if visiting a vulnerable family member.

As long as they keep giving out free boxes of tests on my commute, I will use them. But someone told me they are no longer accurate so I'm probably wasting everyone's time!

Floral, this is what I am thinking.
Protection for autumn/winter.

We got home from a week in Scotland on Tuesday and on Wednesday morning Dh started coughing so tested and was positive so I thought I had better test as well but I was negative. Felt I’ll yesterday afternoon and was positive. I have a high temperature and cough and I feel rubbish. We have been sent an oximetry as Dh is 75 and I am diabetic.
We are going to be contacted every day to make sure our oxygen levels don’t drop too far.

DH tested positive on Thursday having developed a cough. I have tested today but showing negative even though my temperature is 39.1 and I can't get warm!
DH has to test for work. I'm only testing because I have symptoms and am clearly a household contact.
