Just tested positive. How do you prove that nowadays so it shows on the NHS app so you can use your proof of recovery for travel?

Not sure as you cant get a PCR test now unless you pay for one.

I can’t really work out that you can anymore.
NHS app only accepts nhs tests and the nhs aren’t doing them anymore. So 🤷🏼‍♀️
Are you not vaccinated?
A pcr before travelling??? Where are you trying to go and what was the plan before you tested positive.

Pay privately for a recovery certificate

Same question. My son's feeling ill and I think we're about to have to cancel our first post-Covid holiday 😢. I don't know it's definitely Covid yet, but I rather suspect it is based on symptoms (haven't done LFT yet). If it is, what do I do? Presumably the travel insurance company won't accept a LFT (could be anyone's). I can't buy a PCR via Boots etc because they expressly say not to come in with symptoms. And presumably the GP won't want him anywhere near them. So what are my options? Would GP maybe issue something based on a phone consult??

I have it too. I reported my LFT result on ‘Report a Covid Trst! and they send you a code to input to app.

What lft did you have though? I had a positive on an old nhs test this week and reported it as usual. By the time the last of our household got it we were on to bought-tests and you can’t record your result on ‘report a covid test’, they won’t recognise the number.

It was an LFT I had left from when I ordered from the NHS/ government. Has a barcode etc.

You pay for a private pcr.
My DS tested positive 11 days before a holiday. I paid £35 for a pcr in case he wasn't well enough to travel, he's fully vaxxed so didn't need proof to travel. We had full covid travel insurance which allows cancellation if anyone tests positive within 14 days of departure and the insurance company said we could have a full refund. Didn't need to in the end as he was negative after 8 days.

Test done by post through source bioscience.

So can you still get a recovery certificate?
I read that it has to be a pcr test not an lft?

A recovery certificate is essentially proof of infection which you can get by paying for a private PCR. The one I got for DS gave you written proof which my insurance company was happy to accept.
