Anyone travelled to Italy recently with Ryanair?

We are due to fly this weekend and I’m trying to check in via the app. It’s asking me to upload all the covid documentation onto the app and also seems to want me to complete a traveller declaration form, which I thought Italy had scrapped? Do you have to attach all covid documents on the app?

I went to Portugal a few weeks ago and Ryan air seemed to want a PLF filled in although Portugal scrapped this the week before.

I assume you have looked at the official advice -I think Ryan air are perhaps a bit slow in updating their website.

LittleOldLadies · 27/05/2022 16:42

Did you complete it anyway? Italy scrapped their PLF at the start of May.

Is it asking for a PLF or your vaccination status?

LittleOldLadies · 27/05/2022 20:46

It’s asking for PLF. I’ve done all the vaccination stuff but it also says on the Ryanair app that we need to complete PLF forms.

No we didn't do the PLF for going to Portugal and no one anywhere asked us for proof of vaccination either but not sure what travelling to Italy is like

The Ryanair app wanted us to 'upload documentation' before our Italy trip last month. I checked the UK government website which had up to date information about what I needed to enter Italy, and made sure we conformed with that. Nowhere does it say that any of the documents need to be uploaded to an app, it's just an optional function offered to all app users regardless of destination.

Check the current guidance for Italy and as long as have you everything it'll be fine.

What’s a PLF?

Is the vaccination record barcode on the NHS app all you need?

PAFMO · 31/05/2022 06:39

PLF- passenger locator form
Each country now has different requirements as to whether you need one or not.
The OP is asking about Italy which since 1/5/22 hasn't required one. Some rules regarding vaccination status still apply.
The UK gov website is often very much out of date and it's best to check the gov websites of the countries you are visiting.

Incase anyone else needs to know nobody checked anything! We didn’t complete the PLF because it was out of date - asking us to declare we had all been covid tested before the flight which we hadn’t done as it is no longer necessary to do so. We had all the covid documentation but it wasn’t checked when arriving in Italy.
