Can you report results for privately bought tests?

We bought flow flex tests, from Boots or Lloyds. I’ve tried to record a positive test on the usual government website, but it says the code (the string of letters/numbers) is wrong, even when I scan in the test’s QR code rather than try to input the code myself.

Doesn’t particularly matter, other than I thought the government might like to have some info on positive cases. Also at some point in the future it might be relevant for health records or a covid pass for another country (today’s positive case is my DC who’s not vaccinated).

Don't think you can get a covid pass from an LFT, just PCR tests.

Maybe you can get it recorded on your child's gp notes by calling them

Try 119.

No you can't report bought tests.

You can with suppliers like Randox, they cost around £12 and have a code to register, although I’m not sure that they register them for you.

Thanks. It doesn’t really matter. I’m surprised they still bother reporting daily U.K. cases when people who do test can’t even report it. I knew it would be massively incomplete since the tests stopped being free, and I’d stopped checking it, I didn’t realise it was quite so pointless though.
