All I can smell is exhausts and engines?!

Well just as the title says really! I tested positive 2 weeks ago, and had negative tests after 7 days. Luckily I didn’t feel too unwell but for the past few days all I can smell, constantly, is an engine/exhaust smell, as if I was surrounded by old cars or motorbikes revving their engines! Has anyone else had this, and if so, how long did it last?! I’m fed up already, my nose and throat feel raw with it but nobody else can smell it 😩😩

Sounds horrid. I don't know anyone who has had this personally, but know someone who smells phantom cigarette smoke since covid. Hopeful bump for you!

Thank you @BeenToldComputerSaysNo . It’s really horrible! I know others who have said they have other phantom smells, but like you say, nobody with this!

I have this! Tested positive today. It's when I go outside (in our garden), a sort of oil/industrial smell, fairly unpleasant - but not so noticeable indoors? Definitely just me- asked DH and he couldn't smell anything! Really hope it doesn't linger!

First time after covid, most food tasted burnt.
Second time I had covid which was 8 weeks ago, I can hardly taste much and I have a reuccuring smell that's like a bin left for in the heat for days, rotting food and nappies. It's horrible! I want to enjoy food again!

Smell stuff every day is the only way through it, strong stuff like strong essential oils, like smell rehab.
