Hi, just wondering if anyone else has seen this in their child. My daughter had covid for the second time 4 weeks ago. It first presented as tummy pain in the night followed by a fever for one day. Ever since she has been complaining off and on about a sore tummy although it has been daily for the past week.

I also can hear it is quite gurgly, mainly in the evening. She isn’t a big eater at the best of times but is probably eating a little less than usual. Anyone else seen this? Wondering if it is covid related? I will take her to the doctor anyhow but just wondered what other peoples experience may have been with their child and covid.

thanks!

I'm sure there was another thread a few weeks ago when the op was worried about her child's stomach pains after covid. Might be worth a search.

Definitely take her to the Dr OP. Prolonged stomach pain in a child always worth investigating, especially if it wasn’t something they’d ever complained of before.

otherwise, I’d she happy in herself?
any other symptoms? Weeing snd pooing normally? Eating and drinking normally? Anything else unusual ? These questions all worth thinking about .

Thanks for your reply. She is totally normal in herself otherwise. I am going to take her to the doctor just to check regardless but thought I would see if anyone else had experienced anything similar as it started and has continued since covid.

I know this thread is from a few days ago but (I think!) the same thing happened to my daughter. She had blood tests which were all clear. It went on for weeks. I eventually gave her some probiotics in desperation and they seemed to help. (Don’t know if it was as a placebo or they actually helped!)
