Help! I had Covid at the end of March/start of April and was really sick, despite being fully jabbed, no other health issues etc. It took three weeks for me to test negative, and I have never regained taste/smell. Anyway, this weekend I have felt off, figured it was just hayfever, but did a lateral flow tonight which is a blazing positive. Is this the old Covid, or a new dose? I have a terrible sore throat and feel shivery, coughing a bit.

I’m in Scotland and not sure what the rules even are any more.

I would say new.

So soon? I can’t believe it!

Different variants spreading so it’s possible. Getting one doesn’t seem to give you immunity against another. I know a fair few people that have had it twice in the last few
months.

I'd say new, too. This has been us since mid-March. We started feeling better and within a day or two started feeling off again and tested positive. So that was another week of coughing and youngest DC had it more like tonsillitis. Fun times.

Apparently it is counted as new if it is 28 days after the first positive test (may just be in Scotland) so back in isolation for me. FML.

My daughter had it twice within a month. Totally sucks but definitely possible. Hope you feel better soon!

new strains popping up. I think it's just going to be one bout of covid after another for ages. But people will run out of tests and we won't know eventually

Just popping back here to say I tested negative Sunday/Monday, all back to normal, then DP started coughing on Friday and tested positive. I did a test to keep him company, and back to positive too with a very dark line.

That can’t possibly be a third dose? I work in education (lecturer) so exposed to lots of people. I worked from home until testing negative but was in later in the week before DP was positive. Both of us are coughing/sore throats.
