Nursery with a cough?

Sorry for the stupid question, please go easy on me. 3 year old DS has a cough. We don’t have any lateral flows left. No temperature and he’s fine in himself. Can I send him to nursery as normal? Having done PCRs for every cough for the past 18 months it feels weird but presumably not much else we can do? Thanks!

I sent my DS this week with a cough. Yes it felt odd but he wasn't unwell and he had no other symptoms or signs of sickness.

Nursery were fine with him being in, didn't request tests or anything and they were previously very hot on children staying off during covid with a cough.

Nursery sent an email out a while ago but it was a bit vague. I’ll see what they say, thought it would be good to see what others are doing! It just feels wrong but equally I can’t have a week off for every cough!

Yeh, I sent my DD in last week with a cough. I did call them & ask what I should do as I was unsure. She wasn’t remotely poorly, running around, happy as larry. Nursery said it was totally fine to send her in.

I pondering if my DD has heyfever. Her nose has been streaming for a month & this cough just won’t shift ☹️

I would sen him, coughs are so common in kids and most will not be covid. My kids have had a few coughs in the last 2 years, none were covid, then they caught covid and didn't even have a cough.

over the last 2 years I've realised how often kids cough, even when they actually haven't got a cough or a virus 😅

my own Dd coughs a lot with allergies.
