Has this happened to anyone else? I went back to work and am now worrying that I've been infecting people!

Stop testing now, you are well past the recommended isolation period.
Your viral load will be very low so chances of infecting anyone else is extremely low.

I tested again as was due to visit a nursing home.

I was told not to test again for 30 days after covid as you may show as positive but you aren't contagious.

Yes you're exempt from testing for 28 days from day 1 of infection with lateral flow and 90 days with Pcr
