Vomiting teenager - could it be Covid ?

Dd , 14, started vomiting this morning and has been sick several times since. She said she felt hot in the night. Did a LFT this morning as she was off to visit her Grandmother, didn’t get there as she was sick in the car en route. She hasn’t seen anyone other than us for a week, apart from yesterday when we had a walk with a friend.
Am worried about Covid as I am at increased risk. We are all vaccinated but she only had her second dose ten days ago.
Did anyone’s teenagers start with sickness when they actually had Covid ? I am doing the normal disinfection that I would with any sickness bug, and she is in bed.

It can start with vomiting but unlikely to have symptoms so soon if she got it from her friend and doesn't seem another likely source? Could she have eaten something that has made her sick? Lots of norovirus around as well at the moment

Mine started with vomiting, but timings seem a bit off for your teenager. Food poisoning?

My children had vomiting as their main symptom. I know several who did.

It could also be a normal stomach bug though.

I'd do the usual staying at home for 48 hours after vomiting and add the added precaution of trying to distance from each other due to your vulnerability. If you have any lateral flow test again in a couple of days. Hopefully it will still be negative.

Sounds more like noro.

Both of mine were vomiting, it lasted for a day in DC1's case and on/off for about a week in DC2, no other symptoms.

There is a nasty bug going round atm, my house has been struck down with it the past week

DS's started with vomiting but he was only sick twice, I'd say it's more likely to be a sickness bug.

Think it was actually a migraine. She was fine again after a few hours. She’d started with a headache, dizzy odd feeling and then the sickness which lasted a couple of hours and then gone.

Adenovirus doing the rounds atm. Lots of people suffering with gastro symptoms that stop and start for up to two weeks.
