Should I expect it to get worse?

Slight sore throat since Monday, but congested Thursday so did a test and positive. Feel fine apart from a snuffled nose and a bit of mucous collecting in my throat that I need to keep clearing but no cough as such, no fever, oxygen levels are ok.
If I hadn't of tested I would have thought I had a bit of seasonal hay fever.
Able to carry on around the house and do my chores.
Am I counting my chickens?! Is it likely to get worse even though I feel ok?

I think everyone's different and it also depends on the variant. I was fine for 5 days with just a cough and slightly sore throat and then it hit me like a tonne of bricks. I tested negative yesterday but still feel as awful as I did 8 days ago. Very sore throat, blocked nose, headache, earache, loss of taste and smell and as a lovely bonus - conjunctivitis Sad

Yeah, impossible to say! Let's hope you feel better tomorrow

Think it's impossible to guess as it varies so much person to person, you may not get worse though. I've just had Covid and had a slight cough and a bit tired, now a few weeks on and it never got progressively worse. Was still able to carry on round the house as usual pretty much.

Depends, DH and DS were worst the first day or 2, DD dipped on day 3 and me on day 4. We both took longer to recover too.

I started with sore throat on Thursday, tired and hot Friday, full of cold the weekend, temp came down yesterday, today just coughing mucous up, infrequently, and temp normal. Everyone seems different.

I felt rough but could carry on with stuff for the first 4-5 days, then got worse. I hit the worst of it (in hospital) at 10-14 days. I’ve never felt so poorly.

I agree everyone is different but I was similar to you OP. Just mild cold symptoms which came to nothing. I’ve had far worse head colds in the past.

We'd need a crystal ball to answer this one OP Glitterball

I tested positive last Tuesday week (day 9 now) and DH on the Wednesday- symptoms largely gone but both have bone weary exhaustion at mo and just can't physically do much but sit about.

Given my DH had gone for a long run over the Downs the Monday before, and I generally go for a walk most days, this is not normal for us.

Hoping it will ease off soon.
