I tested positive on Tuesday, DH on Wednesday and my DS had started us all off on the Monday. Full house for Easter.
I've progressed from nausea (actually sick) to snotty, grotty, headachey, insomniac... then bad cough yesterday. Sore throat. Really lethargic. Just generally a bit shit.
DH fairly similar.
DS9- was really worried about him on day 1 but he's bounced back and now fairly much better
I'm asthmatic and take steroids twice a day all the time. So I too have been really worried about getting it. I'm triple vaxxed. So is DH. DS not at all.
To be honest (and this is fingers crossed it gets no worse as I'm now just starting Day 5, so well aware I'm not fully out the woods) it has been far, far less bad than many illnesses I've had in the past (flu / pneumonia/ chest infection/ a weird thing I had for 3 weeks in Nov 2019 where I really couldn't breathe and had x rays and changed all asthma meds - and still couldn't feel like I could get any oxygen in. It was bloody scary and awful).
Tbh, It is actually currently feeling like a massive relief to have finally got it and not be in the shadow of worrying I'm going to get it and what it might be like compared to that Nov 2019 thing. Which I do now wonder if it was actually Covid. But who knows? There are a lot of other nasty bugs about.
I am so grateful to the brilliant scientists and the NHS for working tirelessly to create the vaccine and roll it out so fast. I'm fairly certain I'd be in a very bad place right now without the vaccine. I know people say it's got milder, but I think it's really that we've got the vaccine that has made such a difference.
I'm not counting my chickens just yet though and taking it very easy.
Rest up OP, take Vitamin D and Vit C, plenty of fluids. No alcohol. Eat if you can (I've had no issue with appetite or losing taste since the first day of nausea). Take care x
