How long did you have symptoms before getting a positive LFT?

Dd tested positive Friday after having symptoms Thursday (tested neg Thursday). I started feeling unwell yesterday so waited to test today, tested and it’s negative. I have the same symptoms as dd, scratchy throat, cough, snotty nose and achy so I expected my test to be positive?

This is the 2nd time I have had covid, first time didn’t show on LFT either, was picked up on a PCR but I had no symptoms last time. This time I feel unwell but still negative. Should I just presume I have it as dd has it?

Dd is still testing positive on day 5.

48 hours of sore throat, headache and temperature for me before my LFT went positive (caught it from DS so was pretty sure it was covid).

Thank you, I’m pretty sure I have it, I will test again tomorrow.

Started feeling like bad hayfever on the Friday. Tested positive Monday (still just felt like hayfever). Really hit me Tuesday onwards.

One day for me, 1-2 days for DH. DD tested positive ( back when contact testing was a thing) before symptoms.

I didn't have any symptoms at the time, but my partner did - I tested positive on Friday. However, I started getting symptoms later on that day. He has now tested positive since. I know it is government guidance to crack on but I'm sticking to the 7 day rule. The second line today is more thicker than it was on Friday.

Symptoms started on the Friday evening. Didn’t get a positive LFT until Sunday.

DH and DC on day two of symptoms, still negative.

Two hours. Was shockingly rapid.

Tested strong positive one morning with no symptoms. By evening I had aches, pains, shivering and sore throat.

30 mins? Started coughing and tested positive straight away

Started with symptoms Saturday night, didn’t test positive until today (Wednesday). Very annoying, as we’re meant to be going on holiday this weekend. Am I being overly optimistic to hope I’ll be through the other side by then?
