I thought losing smell with Omicron wasn't a thing!

Day 6 and it's suddenly happened. Anyone else?

Hoping it will come back quickly

Mine was only gone for 1.5 days so don't lose hope!

How do you know you have Omicron?

Mine went suddenly day 4. Couldn’t smell a thing. Slowly coming back a couple of weeks later.

Yep I had Covid 2 weeks ago, lost smell within a couple of days and it still hasn't returned.

We all partially lost taste and smell for about 2 weeks until it came back, still cannot taste tea and hating coffee which I normally like some 4 weeks later.

You def can lose it with Omicron. Several friends have. It’s just less common than it was with Delta.

I am day 4 and noticed this morning I've lost my sense of taste and smell. Im hoping it comes back quickly, it's rubbish!

I lost mine on day 8, 4 days ago. I'm really hoping it comes back quickly.

Some things are getting through slightly. I can get hints of heavy spices, garlic and lemon.

I lost my sense of smell but a few days later it came back. Before coming back I could smell buttered popcorn. Very weird!

Me and DH both lost smell and taste with Omicron

I thought the dominant variant was Deltacron now, a mix of the two?

Lost my sense of smell and taste the same day I tested positive (after three days of symptoms.)

Everyone's different. I myself lose is / get horrible changes to sense of smell with EVERY cold 🥶

Considering 99% of 3000 surveyed by a January ICL study in the UK were omicron, its safe to assume all are. The level of protection against previous variants is much higher and omicron spreads more efficiently and so has the advantage.

I lost sense of smell and taste on day 5 of Omicron. Now day 9, tested negative but still poor taste and no sense of smell at all.
