Day 6 test or those you have used lft

Quick question. Do lft tend to fade as the days go on or can you have a strong positive day 5 then negative day 6? Due to work my dh has had to move out whilst until ds tests negative. Done a lft on him today and still strong positive. Any chance it will just disappear by tomorrow or do the lines tend to fade to negative? We are Scotland so. Am only end isolation (and get husband home) once da is testing negative for 2 tests 24hr apart. Hope that make sense

Mine faded then subsequent ones negative.

Mine was still solid on day 10 so probably not the best person to ask but DS's faded from solid on day 5 to gone on day 8. DD's started fading on day 9 but we didn't bother testing after that.

Mine was very bold day 6, slightly less so on 7 and 8 but still bold compared to my day 1 test, and on day 10 it was faintly positive like my first one had been.

In my experience it’s a fade rather than straight to negative like testing positive can be.

Thanks guys that’s what I thought but not had much covid in the house before now and not huge testers. So I can kiss goodbye to husband getting home over next few days by looks of it. I couldn’t see how it could go from immediate dark line today to nothing tomorrow but I was hopeful 😂
