Has anyone else had this? Just feeling wiped out and anxious but none of the usual respiratory symptoms? Is this strange?

Tested positive today, ache all over, my are eyes stinging and face burning. No other symptoms.

No, it’s normal. There is a wide range of symptoms. The only one in my family who had cold like symptoms was DD1. DD2 had a short lived fever, DS was asymptomatic, and I had achey limbs and felt exhausted.

I have jelly legs and feel nervy.

This was me. The next day I got some vague cold symptoms followed by a very runny nose the next day.

Many people don’t have any cold symptoms. I’ve no idea where the “it’s just like a cold” myth came from. For some people it’s not even noticeable, for others it kills. It’s also thought to be a virus that attacks the heart and brain as much as lungs.

DH and I both currently positive. He has back ache and cold type symptoms. I ache all over and feel a bit breathless.

Whathefisgoingon · 05/04/2022 13:00

That’s how I felt. I felt hungover and after the drive to the test centre I had a lay down in bed with nausea. I didn’t have any respiratory symptoms at all, maybe a bit of a stuffy nose at a push.

NarcKid · 05/04/2022 17:52

I had no respiratory symptoms and I had a high temperature that lasted for an hour, which I only caught by chance. My symptoms were high resting heart rate, fatigue, muscle aches, very heavy night sweats.

I just had a sore throat and was really tired when I caught Alpha in 2020.

LittleDiaries · 05/04/2022 18:14

This time I had symptoms that started with a sore throat, then felt like a cold, then bad sinusitis and flu like symptoms. Still feel a bit snuffly and fatigued two weeks on.

Autumn last year I had a weird heart problem and upset stomach/diarrhoea that went on for 6 weeks. GP sent me for tests. I felt really unwell. A nurse at the hospital told me that they'd been seeing a lot of people with heart problems related to covid.

February 2020 we all had covid for the first time, loss of taste & smell, had bad throat, and sore swollen tongue.

Covid is a debilitating illness that seems to take many forms.

Glad I'm vaccinated as I've no doubt it would have been way more serious.

Covid here too day 7 i think
No cold/cough
I have really horrendous brain fog though making me queasy (like early pregnancy feeling, not pg)
Hate it i want to be normal again.

I had different symptoms pretty much every day so they might still come! I started feeling dizzy and lightheaded, then one day I felt sick.. Then on day 5 I got really bad cold symptoms!

Annoyingly on day 4 I had started to feel a bit better and had an incredibly faint line (so was hoping I might be released soon!).. But then along with the cold on day 5, I had the thickest line I'd ever had (thicker than the control line!).
