Too painful to eat...

Hi all,
I did start another thread, so apologies. I just wanted to ask about my specific symptom that is concerning me.

2 days before testing positive I started with heartburn type symptoms. No pain in my throat or tummy issues, just my chest.

It was hurting to eat and drink and felt like I have something stuck in my throat. Tested positive yesterday by these symptoms have got worse. I've not been able to eat the last 2 days, I take a mouthful and once it reaches my chest it's agony and I'm in tears. It also hurts to drink (even water), so I've barely drank over the last 2/3 days either.

Did anyone else get this? It's an immense burning pain in my chest.
It's constantly a bit sore and doesn't feel right but I'm wondering if anyone else experienced this and when did it get better? As I currently can't eat!

I have some of the usual symptoms too, dizziness, headaches, phlegmy throat and bit of a cough.

Thank you all.

My neighbour was the same, it was horrible for her. She used all the usual things such as Strepsils, etc, but one thing that did help which will sound strange was putting Vick vaporub on the soles of her feet. A friend recommended it to her and it worked. At the very least it's not going to hurt you, doesn't cost much and worth a try.

It will pass, honestly. Try not to stress which I know isn't easy but anxiety does exacerbate swallowing problems.

I hope you will recover soon.

I hope this passes for you soon it sounds horrible. I’ve had Omeprazole before and it took a couple of weeks to actually feel the benefit. Have you tried cool cucumber smoothie or an aloe vera product?
