Anyone else lose taste quite late?

I tested positive on lft 10 days ago after having symptoms for 3 days before that. I'm still getting positives, but they are fading now.

I no longer have any other symptoms except my taste has gone, which started yesterday when I realised I couldn't taste my apple.
I'm drinking my morning tea and it tastes of nothing!

I thought this was an early symptom? Anyone else get this so late on?

I didn’t fully loose taste, but could only taste the sweetness in tea. This was one of the last symptoms I had, but fortunately day by day it has got a lot better, still not fully tasting tea and have gone off coffee, but really enjoying coke and tango.

Most people I know who lost their sense of taste and smell did so at the end of the illness when they started to feel better.

@KylieKoKo

I didn't realise this. Thank you.

Just started a thread about this. I lost mine mid covid. Then I thought it had come back fully but nope. I was eating some vanilla ice cream and it tasted of nothing. Also had a couple of chewy sweets and despite the taste being strong [ Irn bru flavoured] I could taste nothing. I ended isolation on day 11 which was Wednesday. Really weird!
