How long after being with them (if you caught Covid off them) did you notice symptoms of Covid appearing?

2 days after my daughter showed symptoms both me and my husband showed symptoms

Jules912 · 28/03/2022 09:09

When DD had it never.
DH got a positive test 3 days after DS had symptoms, and me 4 days. We both had symptoms the day before the test.

emmathedilemma · 28/03/2022 09:13

it took 2-3 days to go round everyone in our extended family last week

MysweetAudrina · 28/03/2022 09:19

My husband got it Wednesday I'm still negative

Son got it friday and I'm negative

spilltheteaplease · 28/03/2022 12:00

2 days for me, a couple of days later again for those in contact with me.

Pinkstar28 · 28/03/2022 12:04

7 days for us

KylieKoKo · 28/03/2022 18:51

I caught it from dp and started feeling ill about 2 days later than he did.

FrangipaniBlue · 28/03/2022 22:02

DH caught it from a colleague on Monday (who tested +ve Tuesday).

He said had a bit of a headache Wednesday/Thursday but tests were -ve.

Tested +ve Friday which was also when he properly got "cold" symptoms.

DS started complaining about feeling poorly last night..... so far -ve

I don't feel poorly but my chest is sore today as though something is irritating my asthma..... so we'll see what transpires over the next few days Hmm

NeedWineNow · 28/03/2022 22:34

DH's symptoms started last Wednesday evening/Thursday morning. He didn't test until yesterday(Sunday) when he tested positive. I'm still negative. We're both at home in a small house where it is nigh on impossible to isolate from one another. Ironically DH feels fine - says he's had worse "normal ' colds/hayfever.

Porcupineintherough · 29/03/2022 01:07

I tested positive 6 days after ds1 started with symptoms and 3 days after he tested positive.

EBearhug · 29/03/2022 01:16

Saw him Sunday, he felt rough on Mondsy and tested positive, I tested positive Thursday. I would gave assumed it was hayfever without the test - weepy eyes and runny nose, and it could also be hayfever. Now have slight sore throat, and a productive cough, but have mostly felt fine throughout and I agree with the post upthread - I've had worse colds and hayfever. But the guy I caught it from has been quite rough, confined to bed, as have a couple of others who've had it at this time, so I think a lot will depend on the individual.

Smidgy · 29/03/2022 09:20

My ds and dh got symptoms and a positive lateral flow 4 days after my positive. My mum got symptoms 6 days after contact and a positive on the 7th day.

UptownWorld · 29/03/2022 09:20

I’m on day 4 and got the start of a sore throat. Lft negative at the moment.

Psuedoshoes · 29/03/2022 09:23

I've been a very close contact on about 6 occasions, however I've still never tested positive. Fingers crossed you'll be the same OP!

LampreyHoover · 29/03/2022 09:24

Didn’t get it despite sharing a bed with DH who was positive for 11 days. Triple jabbed and had Covid in October though.

Roseshavethorns · 29/03/2022 09:31

DH symptoms started on the Sunday but didn't get a positive test until Wednesday. My symptoms started on the Thursday but didn't get a positive test until Monday. Ds symptoms started on Saturday and still testing negative (but feeling dreadful).

Whiterose23 · 29/03/2022 09:45

Daughter positive on Thursday, my PCR was negative on Saturday (needed for work) My symptoms started on Sunday with a sore throat and pounding headache but it’s taken until today to return a positive LFT.
I’m feeling pretty dreadful with it

theDudesmummy · 29/03/2022 09:46

Exactly 7 days after DS tested positive

MrsAmber · 29/03/2022 09:49

I’m day 9 of testing positive, both DH & DS have cold type symptoms but are still negative much to DS annoyance!

TweenTrauma · 29/03/2022 10:06

I was in an airport/on a plane very early Tuesday morning, which is where I must have caught it from. Started showing symptoms Thursday afternoon (sore throat), Friday woke up feeling like I’d be hit by a truck.

Ambushedbycakeinmydreams · 30/03/2022 07:22

Hi thanks for sharing your experiences.

Now onto day 4 since sharing a car with my positive Covid friend. Did a LFT last night - negative. Symptoms - none.

Fingers crossed ....
