Can I still get a PCR? Recovery cert question also...

So my lovely child has given me vivid for the second time. First time I was asymptotic. This time they've been coughing like crazy. Often in my face, so it was only a matter of time before I got it again.

My question is - last time I didn't register my positive by getting a PCR. I'm unvaccinated, so this time I figured I might as well try and get a PCR so I can register it and get a covid recovery form. Figured it might come in handy in case we want to travel to somewhere like Spain. How do I go about getting one of those, and would a recovery form be all that the country needs for me to enter? Along with negative tests?

You book a test site or order one in the post as far as I know

Thank you. I've never had a PCR before. Didn't know I could get a postal one.

Has anyone successfully used a recovery certificate to enter a country like Spain?

I ordered a home test pcr, when 10 days have passed since your positive test you will have a recovery pass in your nhs app.

I will have 2 recovery passes in there but this most recent one will get me into my holiday destination without a test as it will be within 180 days of entry to the country.

Thanks very much. So you didn't have any issues at the airport shuts showing the certificate? The last thing I'd want would be to get there and be turned away

I've not been away yet but the country I'm visiting says they accept the UK proof of recovery.
There are websites offering proof of recovery letters but to do you one they need to see your NHS proof of recovery so I believe its just a way to make money and your NHS pass should be fine.
You get a barcode just as you do with your vaccine pass.
