Toddler covid getting worse day 7

My two year old is on day 7 and the cough is really picking up now. Very snotty as well.

First three days she had a high temperature. Then she seemed more or less fine for a day or two and since yesterday the cough is getting worse.

Any advice ? I had the GP have a look at her two days ago and chest was clear then.

Both of mine got much worse on day 6/7. One of them developed a secondary infection (tonsillitis) but for the other, it was just the way it went for her. Back in the beginning of the pandemic, it was normal for it to get worse a few days in.

OK so perhaps like with any cold, I just need to look out for breathing difficulties and a new temperature or new symptoms.

How long did it take for them to recover ?

They were both unwell for 10 days but bounced back.
