Gah! How long to get covid 19 pass on nhs app

I’ve messed up. Never had the nhs app. Never had to prove my vaccine status. Flying on Sunday. Downloaded app. Verified my id. It says it should come back in 24 hours. Then clicked onto the covid pass bit just to see more and it says the process could take 7 days! I fly in less than 4. Please please tell me this will come back in time otherwise I think I’m screwed. So annoyed at myself for not doing this earlier.

The paper copy of the covid pass takes 7 days, however the digital one should be instant;
On the ap when you click on Covid pass, there should be two options of domestic and travel, you click travel then have the options to download by PDF or save to travel Wallet.

Domestic is there but it says international one won’t be available until my id has been verified. I’ve done that process. The message I hit was it should be done within 24 hours. But then it says it could take up to 7 days elsewhere. I don’t have 7 days. But seems my only option is to hope it comes back in time. I’m hopeful it will but now have a helpless feeling in my stomach.

Now worried that my video and/or photo will fail. Feel sick to my stomach. Can’t believe I didn’t do this earlier. I just assumed I would instantly get the pass with my nhs number.

Try not to worry mine came within 24 hrs, give yourself at least 24th before you start panicking!

Too late @feliciabirthgiver. Panic stations central here 🤣. I’m feeling stressed for other reasons ahead of trip and like everyone about to travel fixated on passing covid test. Didn’t think this would be an added stresser. But hope you’re right. Logic suggests it will come back in time. Just feel helpless in the sense that if it doesn’t, I can’t fly on Sunday.

If it helps I did both terms recently and both took less than 5 hrs

I did mine this week and it was verified within 24 hours, have you done the id and video message thing?

You don’t need the paper one. We are travelling this weekend and I did all of ours yesterday. The DC ID checks took a few hours and then I was instantly able to download the digital pass. Why do you need a paper one?

The op hasn’t said she needs a paper one, she’s just wanting to know if other people have had the verification back on the app quicker than 7 days.

Mine has come back. Thanks for the replies and reassurance. That 7 day message just completely threw me!

This was me earlier. Flying Monday. I have mine but not my daughters. Booked the paper copy to be sent on Monday but hadn't received it did it today. Did the online one after your prompt and 1 hour later had it sent through. Phew!
