NHS covid recovery certificate

Hi,
My 7 year old son just had a positive Covid test this morning (lft). We are due to go to Italy in 2 weeks and I am worried that he might still be testing positive then. Will I get an automated proof of recovery certificate for him on my NHS app to which he is linked? Some threads suggest this appears in 10 days for adults. Will this be accepted as a form of entry if he is still testing positive? Or am I going to need to get him and PCR and then go through a private certificate provider?
Many thanks,
Deborah

I'd like to know the answer to this too as my 10yr old currently has covid and we're going to Greece which requires either a test or covid recovery certificate for anyone unvaccinated over the age of 5. From what I've seen you can't get an NHS recovery certificate for anyone under 12 but can pay for one through a private company, which seems a bit unfair to have to pay for it just because of his age.

I'd be interested if anyone has a different experience though and can advise on how to get some proof via the NHS.

No - you’d have to get a PCR and a private recovery certificate. The NHS don’t do any proof of recovery for under 12, which seems crazy to me, but we had a very long conversation with 119 about it and that’s how it is.

Maybe someone might know the answer- like many people probably ive been on hold for BA for hours over the last three days as our son had a positive covid test last weekend and we are trying to find out if Spain accepts private company covid recovery certificates. After a 2 hour hold the NHS told me his certificate would come through 10 days after his isolation ends...which seems different from what ive read on other posts..his 7 days are up tomorrow and he's negative so far for last few days..question- is this NHS chap right regarding when the covid recovery certificate will appear on his phone app, and..does anyone know if Spain accepts private healthcare company paid for covid recovery certificates( he did a pcr so we can prove he had it) thanks!
