If you had it mildly, not hospitalised, when were you over the bump and started feeling better?

I'm on day 9, LFT as (if not more) positive than day 1, and I feel horrendous. I'd love to know the answer to this, too!

miname · 21/03/2022 16:30

Oh no sorry to hear that!
I'm only on day 3 I hope I don't go the same way

Day 3 and 4 were worst.

Now on Day 10 and still headachey, still tired at 7 pm, but not horizontal!

Jules912 · 21/03/2022 16:40

Days 4-8 were worst for me. Day 9 ( today) seems a bit better but still not got much energy

miname · 21/03/2022 16:48

I really hate headaches, I'm not a good patient 🤣🤣

Currently on day 3 since I tested positive, day 5 since symptoms started. The day I tested positive was the worst (needed paracetamol to get through the day, joint pain, weird aches, sleepy by 7pm) but it's now basically like a yucky head cold, nothing too awful bar the streaming nose, hopefully I've turned the corner now.

MoodySky · 21/03/2022 17:13

Day 10, still feeling very up and down, very tired, headaches on and off.

I'd say Day 5 and then Day 8 were the worst. It doesn't seem to gradually improve, it's all over the place.

EatSleepReplete · 21/03/2022 17:20

Days 4-7 were the worst. Day 4 was especially unpleasant as that was the first day of stomach symptoms, I was entirely unprepared. Sad Felt 95% better about 12 days after the positive LFT though.

TBH it's been 3 months & I'm still more tired than I was before.

miname · 21/03/2022 17:29

So basically it could be Day 4 it could be Day 10 🤣

I feel ok just head cold symptoms really but for this this fecking headache! Just had a large dose of aspirin and paracetamol along with my trusty 4head stick so hopefully that will take the edge off for a bit

Day 8 here and whilst I still feel awful, it's not as bad I'd say. Still positive but managed a walk today which made me feel better.

snakewillow · 21/03/2022 17:44

Had to have a nap on day 2 but was better by day 4. Just felt like a really snotty, sneezy cold.

That's exactly how I feel, but with a bad headache too. Hopefully it will be short lived! :)

Anyone had any kind of strange blackouts? I’m on day 3. Woke up in the early hours of day 1 with horrible sickness, got to the toilet and last thing I remember is face planting the cistern. I have an Apple Watch and came round to it kicking off I’d lay there out cold for over an hour and I have a black eye.
I feel like shit. Sore throat, headache, tiredness, everything tastes strange and cough. The front of my chest is also killing me I must have banged it when I fell.

hellcatspangle · 21/03/2022 18:17

Days 2/3, although even they weren't much to shout about. Just felt washed out and a bit lightheaded.

That sounds horrible! I wonder if you managed to knock yourself out when you hit the loo?

2 weeks of feeling bloody awful I’m sorry to say - dizzy, blackouts, nerves all weird and sore then numb, nausea and constant need to sleep. Day 5 I was able to get to bathroom by myself but was day 12 before felt able to walk around safely.

frenchiemummy92 · 21/03/2022 19:34

I'm on day 4 or 3 depending if you count first positive as day 0. Today has been the worst so far. Only managed to get out of bed a few hours ago. Feel like I've got a really really bad cold, headache and struggling to sleep with my cough. Hoping tomorrow will be better.

PiesNotGuys · 21/03/2022 19:48

Days 3-6 were the worst for me I’d say, but those days also coincided with needing to work 10-12 hour days in a relatively physical role and force my voice out even though it had nearly gone, I ended up straining so much to be heard I pulled all kinds of neck and chest muscles which are still sore weeks later. It wasn’t a fun illness, you have my sympathy, I hope you are well soon

BeanStew22 · 21/03/2022 20:53

Day 4-8 were the worst (though days 2-3 were not much fun) and was feeling a lot better from day 11 or so.

Am on day 20 and still tired, brain fog, coughing etc : but a lot better vs the first week or so

I’ve had some days in there when I wake up feeling better, then feel worse later in the day

Unforgettablefire · 21/03/2022 21:28

God knows, but when my face hit the cistern I remember it registering then nothing. It’s weird I didn’t feel faint or dizzy or anything.

Did you go unconscious with the blackouts?
DragonOverTheMoon · 21/03/2022 21:32

@Unforgettablefire that happened to my friend whilst she was driving, she was so lucky she didn't crash. She tested positive later that day.

inthekitchensink · 21/03/2022 21:40

@Unforgettablefire
Yes DH had to pick me up off the floor. Another time the house swung upside down and I stayed conscious but slid ungracefully down the wall while my ears did that weird tinny thing and I tried not to be sick. This sounds like what might have happened to you but you had a crash, how horrible for you Flowers

FflosFfantastig · 21/03/2022 21:46

Day 4 better for me. First few days minor sore throat then that went. Then a day of feeling like I had a tight chest and couldn't get enough breaths in. Then that went and then back to normal day 4 onwards and testing negative on day 5. However, I have had Covid twice previously. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

miname · 21/03/2022 22:17

Thanks all, this is my first time with Covid (4th time of it being in my house though!) and I'm triple vaccinated. Hoping it won't last too long or get too bad
