Positive test In house again, can you still get ltfs?

SD with us over the weekend and tested positive with the classic symptoms last night, her mums house has also come down with it so we have sent her there for the week rather than her staying here

I have had a negative test but I've also got the same symptoms and feeling exactly the way I did 7 weeks ago when i last had it (frustrating!!) so I'm pretty certain I will test positive soon.

We have no lateral flows left, can I still pick these up? I haven't been following the covid updates so we are unsure where we stand. I can't get them online will the chemist do them? I'm in the U.K.

Also what happens now if you take a pcr? Do they still hound you to stay indoors and contact you all the time?

I know there is no legal requirement to stay in now but I work in a hospital Thursdays so I need to keep testing before then really

Type “order lateral flow tests” into a search engine and you can order a pack of 7 tests to be posted to you fro free every 72 hours until end of March.

Pcr tests are available and free until end of March.

Nevercan · 21/03/2022 08:42

You can still order free tests online. I ordered a pack yesterday

Can get a code to pick up tests too.

Not hounded here with a pcr recently.

Have been trying for every day for a week to get tests (have to test twice weekly for hospital work). They say no delivery slots available which can't be true as delivered by post office

Yes.

So much quicker typing into Google than creating a whole new thread in Mumsnet. Confused

Yesterday I couldn't get any to be delivered, but I could have reserved some at a chemist 30 miles away. That was the only options that they gave me.

It changes on a daily sometimes hourly basis though, so if you keep trying you should be able to get some.

Our local council FB page also lets you know where their mobile van is where you can collect tests from.

The OP says she can't get them online so I am assuming she was sensible enough to try and order online already but they are out of stock, which happens fairly frequently now. However, the availability keeps changing within the same day so keep trying and even a couple of hours later they may well be in stock again.

sunflowermadness · 21/03/2022 11:39

There's always one isn't there Hmm

Yes I tried government site where I usually get them which was no stock and the chemists. Visited another chemist today who had ran out but stopped at another and managed to get my hands on a kit.

I haven't kept with the news I only found out this morning you aren't legally required to isolate anymore, the lft testing info was contradictory on different sites.

We are negative me and my DD this morning but with how I'm feeling and now with the burning chest again I'm 100% sure it will show up positive before Thursday. Meant to be going on holiday on Friday which was cancelled and rescheduled from when we had it back in feb as well so if I don't perk up before then that's another holiday down the drain Angry
