Co-infections... Has anyone had this?

Has anyone had what they believe to be covid and another virus at the same time or shortly before?

I feel like I've been ill for ages with all symptoms you can think of, yet only tested positive on day 6. Before that I had negative tests and assumed I had a virus that my kids seemed to have at the time (they were also negative)

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, or if I just have to accept that finally catching Covid has been brutal!

I had really runny nose and slight cold symptoms from Friday 4th, which turned into sinus pain somewhere around Tuesday. Finally felt a bit better then started coughing on Saturday 12th and got my positive test Sunday 13th. I'm assuming I had a cold then Covid as a) 9 days to test positive seems excessive and b) I had a PCR on the 12th which came back negative.

Me, DH and DD all had symptoms for over a week before we tested positive. We all assumed we had a cold because we were so resolutely negative.

Either we actually did have colds and then caught Covid, or the LFTs didn't pick up the Covid for ages. The symptoms were the same pre and post positive tests, but they got much worse as we all went positive.

I'm on day 8 since my positive test and still feel really unwell. I've been ill for over two weeks now and it's driving me nuts!

@TypicaIMe, sounds very similar here, except I am the only one who has now tested positive so am isolating away from the rest of the family. They are all well and I just seem to be getting no better.

I've already had a full week off work and with my poor DH doing the parenting the household management is obviously falling by the wayside.

Sounds like I'll have 2 weeks of chores to tackle at the end of this when I finally emerge!

I hope you start to improve soon
