Day 7 and still feel rubbish!

This is not the ‘mild cold’ I’ve been promised. Whenever I have a cold I pretty much carry on as normal. Not a chance with this.

Felt a bit better day 5 then yesterday was wiped out. Woken up this morning and breathless and so bunged up.

When will I feel better? This is driving me nuts.

Snap!
I still can’t taste nor smell. The congestion is ridiculous!
So much worse than the variant I had last year. 4 days and virtually back to normal that time.

I sympathise. I am triple jabbed and on day 4 after positive test and am experiencing full on flu symptoms. Fever, temp, snot, sore chest. All the talk of milder variant makes me suss as this is definitely not mild and actually quite scary.

I can’t imagine how people are expected to ‘carry on as normal’ with this. No way will I be working tomorrow if I’m like this!

Day 7 here also but started symptoms the day before and feel terrible still so I sympathise. No hope of early release for me. Luckily getting ds back to school tomorrow after his 10 days.

The trouble with everyone saying it's mild is that you feel stupid saying it's otherwise, it's like you're making it up that you feel dreadful.

Day 5 for me and there’s no way I can even work from home tomorrow. I know my boss will think I’m putting it on but I’m feeling awful still

Day 6 here (although I had 2 days of what I now realise were symptoms before taking a PCR). I still feel rubbish.

I was in bed all day Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Got dressed on Friday and sat in the garden for a bit, but ended up feeling awful and back in bed. Bed all day yesterday. Have got dressed again today and sat in the garden for a bit (literally just sat, I've done nothing more strenuous than have a shower and make some toast) and am already exhausted again.

I have a job where I can WFH but there's no way I'm able to work like this. Tomorrow will be my 5th day off sick.

I'm also still testing positive on an LFT. Strong positive too - the line appears before the liquid has got to the top of the window. No sign of it becoming fainter. I'm in Wales where self-isolation is still a legal requirement. Not that I'm up to going for a walk at the moment, walking down the stairs is exhausting!

I'm fully vaccinated, but CEV so I had my booster back in October. I imagine it has started to wear off now.

@JemimaMuddledUp I also had my booster in October so assuming it has worn off.

Day 8 since positive test, but I've had symptoms for two weeks now (negative tests despite daily testing and DD having it until last Saturday).

This is my fifth time with Covid and easily the worst. I'm quadruple jabbed but immunosuppressed. My LFTs are still thick black lines - DD and DH are both negative. I've been knocked for six and at the moment can't imagine feeling well ever again!
